Join us in celebration of the Official Tall Ship of Texas at this year's Plankowners' Sailabration! Our annual fundraising event features heavy hors-d'oeuvres, craft beer, wine, auctions and more! 100% of the proceeds benefit ELISSA and the many educational and training programs of the Texas Seaport Museum. The Plankowners’ Sailabration also offers the public the opportunity to join the Plankowners’ II Syndicate. By joining ELISSA’s Plankowners’ II Syndicate with the purchase of a plank, you can earn your place in the history of the ship. ATTIRE IS ISLAND CASUAL. RESERVATIONS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. EVENT MENU Blackened Shrimp on an English Cucumber Round with an Avocado Mousse Hawaiian Chicken Skewers - Chunks of white meat marinated in gourmet teriyaki sauce and skewered with colored bell peppers and char-grilled to perfection Hawaiian Beef Skewers - Chunks of tenderloin marinated in gourmet teriyaki sauce and skewered with colored bell peppers and char-grilled to perfection Shrimp Cakes - Fresh island shrimp chopped and formed into a cake and seasoned with bell pepper, onions and bread crumbs Spring Rolls - Filled with a pork and veggie stuffing and rolled with a Filipino wrapper / Served with Teriyaki sauce and Filipino sweet and sour sauce Veggie Antipasto Kabobs - Mild delicious Mozzarella cheese is threaded on a skewer along with broccoli and a cherry tomato, a wedge of tender artichoke heart marinated in extra virgin olive oil and spices. Mini Passed Desserts Complimentary Saint Arnold Craft Beer Champagne and signature Dark and Stormy Cocktail White Wine LIVE MUSIC Galveston’s own Harbors Over Highways will set the tone for the evening's festivities. A group of five musicians who've planted their roots in Galveston, each have enjoyed musical comradeship in various bands. The sound of HoH, as they are often referred to, has been a culmination of paying dues in dingy bars and Texas ice houses, all creating their unique Gulf Coast sound. Shades of Americana and Alt Country blossom as Kevin Anderson, John 'Mudd' Kovacevich, Broc Adams, Clark Duhon and Hunter St. Marie take the stage.
